Go Green Grow | Bio Wall Project

This residential extension features innovative bio-wall panels developed by the Biota team at the Bartlett UCL (Drs. Marcos Cruz and Barbera Penner).

The concrete panels are cast from robot crafted formwork with a pattern of ravines that encourages the growth of algae, moss and lichens with the rainwater connected. The concert mix is set to help this process.

This allows weathering to improve the building rather than work against it.
